The Femme Audio Takeover
The Femme Audio Takeover (FATO) is a collaborative marketing opportunity between authors who write awesome femme characters and the femme narrators who often bring those characters to life.
The event was born in July 2022 out of the frustration three femme narrator friends, Ruthie, Ali, and Paige experienced at how often femme narrators and characters are often overlooked in favor of their masculine counterparts in bookish spaces.
Held semiannually in January and July, the FATO is an opportunity to celebrate the strength, growth, and power found in femme characters and femme voices.

The use of the word “femme” instead of female is an intentional choice. Gender encompasses more than biological sex designations. Trans-women and nonbinary narrators are more than welcome to participate.
