Going wide to dozens of global retailers and libraries is the best way to grow your reach. But manually calculating, reporting, and paying out royalty percentages to your narrators or co-creators every single month is an administrative nightmare that drains your creative energy.

 

That’s where we step in. We act as your central distribution and administration hub, ensuring everyone gets paid fairly, accurately, and on time. We champion the logistics, so you can champion the story.

Radical Transparency: Our Royalty Split

We believe in equitable pay for all creatives involved in bringing a story to life. Our wide royalty administration operates on a clean, radically transparent split of all NET receipts:

  • 40% to the Rightsholder (Author/Publisher)

  • 40% to the Narrator / Producer

  • 20% retained by NMFTB

That 20% covers the administrative lifting: global metadata optimization, retailer relations, accounting, tax document preparation, and monthly payout logistics.

The NMFTB 100% Human-Only Policy

Art is human. Full stop.

We are strictly a 100% human-narrated and human-crafted publisher. We fiercely protect the livelihoods of voice actors, cover designers, and authors.

Do NOT apply if your project uses generative AI at any stage.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Manuscript text generation or “AI editing/cleanup”

  • Synthetic voice narration or voice-cloning

  • Generative AI cover art or marketing assets

There are no exceptions to this rule. If we discover AI usage in your submitted project, your contract will be immediately terminated.

The NMFTB Wishlist: What We’re Looking For

We exist to amplify the voices the publishing industry overlooks. We are actively seeking partnerships in the following spaces:

  • Romance: Dark, Contemporary, Cozy, Queer, and BIPOC-centered stories.

  • Speculative & Beyond: Dystopian, Sci-Fi, Dark Fantasy, Horror, and LitRPG / Progression Fantasy

Baseline Requirements for Application

To partner with NMFTB for wide royalty administration, your project must meet the following baseline criteria:

  1. Commercial Viability: The project must have the established potential to earn at least $200+ per year in wide retail/library royalties to cover our baseline administrative overhead.

  2. Complete, Retail-Ready Assets: You must have fully edited and mastered audio MP3 files that meet standard retail distribution requirements. 

  3. Wide Distribution Rights: You must hold the clear, legal rights to distribute your audiobook globally across wide retail and library platforms
